CCWA Email Information
The CCWA Webmail Interface:

A CCWA.NET Webmail interface similar to Yahoo or Hotmail is now available for all Directors. This will prove very handy and your are encouraged to visit and experiment with the webmail interface. All CCWA.NET email addresses have been preloaded into the contact list and are ready to go. You can access your CCWA email on any computer with an internet connection. Just go online, start your web browser, and go to:

webmail.ccwa.net

You will get a login screen where you enter your full ccwa.net email address and password:

yourprefix@ccwa.net
yourpassword
Once you are logged into the webmail interface click the Mail link to view your mail "inbox" and the New Message link to create and send new emails. The will be additional webmail information posted in the CCWA Directors Work Area in the future.

CCWA Email Configuration information for standard Email Programs:
(Outlook Express, Netscape, PocoMail, Pegasus etc.)
As an example we will be using an email address of admin@ccwa.net and you would substitute youremailprefix@ccwa.net
The basic email components of most email programs are essentially the same. Different email programs use different procedures to fill in this information but the required information is the same. Different Internet Service Providers (ISP) may require slight variations of the Mail Server and Username/Account/Password sections.

If you don’t know here to begin with your email program, find a fellow worker or friend to help you enter the settings.

Label Information
Name: Your Name
Email Address: admin@ccwa.net
Reply To Address: admin@ccwa.net

The above is what appears at the top of email messages to whom you send email and people reply.

Mail Server Information
Server Type: POP3
Incoming Mail Server: mail.ccwa.net
*Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.ccwa.net

* Many ISP’s require use of their own Outgoing Mail Servers for sending email. If the above Outgoing setting will not send email, try substituting mail.yourISP.ext or smtp.yourISP,ext You may have to contact your ISP to verify the correct Outgoing SMTP setting.
Username/Account and Password Information
*Username/Account: admin%ccwa.net
Password: ******** (your password)

*A Username for the CCWA mail server is the full email address with the @ symbol substituted with the % symbol.

Check you mail before you send mail:
The CCWA email servers are configured as "POP before Send" servers which means that CCWA email users must check for incoming email before sending outgoing email when using email programs such as Outlook Express, Netscape, PocoMail, Pegasus etc. This strategy is used to prevent spammers and bulk email marketers from using the CCWA mail server for sending junk email. When the CCWA mail server authenticates a valid ccwa user who is checking for incoming email it gives a green light to that user for sending outgoing emails. This does not apply when using the Webmail interface.
