MEETING MINUTES

SEPTEMBER 09, 2008

1. CALL TO ORDER /ROLL CALL
President A. Maldonado called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: G. Arteaga made a motion to approve August minutes.
R. Fernandez seconded the motion. A voice was taken and the motion passed with unanimous consent, with corrections to the word Ongo should read "Hongo".

3. FINANCE REPORT: E. Solis gave the finance report. P. Zinser made a motion to approve the finance report, along with tonight's meeting expense. A. Arteaga seconded the motion. A voice was taken and the motion passed with unanimous consent.

4. REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES: No applications were turned in for the San Diego CCWA Chapter Board. A. Maldonado will contact Frank Velez Sgt@Arms for info on appointing board members.
Our Hall Committee has reported that research of a hall for our Cinco de Mayo dance is to expense to rent, so we will look into renting the same place which is Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
5. OLD BUSINESS: Nothing to report.

6. NEW BUSINESS: Orphanage trip to Tijuana is not safe. Halloween dance not confirmed, looking into having a Angel Tree, we have assigned Mrs. C. Soto to find kids for Angel Tree. We have also talked about the Winter Haven for Battered Women and Kids in El Centro, Polinsky Center and the St. Vincent de Paul Thanksgiving run at Balboa Park.
Xavier the X-Man's 92.5 Food and Coat Drive is coming up, if you are interested in donating see any CCWA Member.
Lance Corcoran effort by CCPOA to recall our Governor.

We will be having a bake sale fund raiser on Friday, October 17, 2008.

Ms. Wendy Haro will participate in the Rock n Roll Marathon in San Antonio Texas for the Crohn's and Colitis Fund Raiser. A motoin was made by B. Maldonado to donate $250.00 dollars and was seconded by G. Arteaga, voice taken motion passed.
7. ANNOUNCEMENTS: There will be no CCPOA meeting this week due to Convention in Las Vegas. President for CCPOA statewide in effect. Budget and recall more info on both matters will be obtained at the convention.
8. ADJOURNMENT: G Arteaga made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:12 p.m.
J. Eustice seconded the motion. A voice was taken and motion passed with unanimous consent.
