1. CALL TO ORDER /ROLL CALL
President A. Maldonado called the meeting to order at 6:06 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: JJ. Abundez made a motion to approve June minutes.
L.. Medina seconded the motion. A voice was taken and the motion
passed with unanimous consent.
3.
FINANCE REPORT: B. Maldonado gave the finance report on behalf of Treasurer
E. Solis. L. Medina made a
motion to approve the finance
report, along
with tonight's meeting expense. A. Peterson seconded the motion.
A voice was taken and the motion passed with unanimous consent.
4. REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES: Nothing to report.
5. OLD BUSINESS: J. Reyes can get a discount on T-Shirts
for the CCWA Recruitment Picnic. E. Solis is also working on T-Shirts
for
our Picnic
. A Maldonado will look into a link for e-mail, so members can e-mail
Q's & A's
directly to CCWA Website.
6.
NEW BUSINESS: Statewide Elections for Chapter President
and Board Members coming up, if interested contact
A. Maldonado. ABCW Statewide Convention will be held on October
7, 2008 at the Town and Country in Mission Valley. Contact Chapter
President N.
Matthews
for more
information.
CCWA is
looking into holding their annual conference in Laughlin Nevada.
The
next Board of Directors meeting will be held on August 2, 2008 in
Ontario, J Reyes Vice President will attend on Chapter Presidents behalf..
There
will be a barbeque at Tex's house on Sunday, July 13, 2008 for appreciation
to all who have been their for him in this
time of need. Warden R. Hernandez approached J. Reyes and G. Arteaga
in having a barbeque for staff and car show at the Institution in October
2008. Will be discussed
for further details.
Committes for our annual CCWA Recruitment Picnic are as follow:
A. Peterson and N. Abundez will be at Recruitment Booth,
(go get'em ladies) .
G. Arteaga, R. Fernandez, M. Mcmoore in charge of Barbeque,
(Yummy, Yummy).
The rest of us from the board and members you know who you
are will assist in areas where help is needed..
The ABCW and the Fil-Am Pacific Islanders will also have
a booth at the picnic. .
7. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Our deepest condolesecnce to A. Castillo
on the passing of his father.
Congratulations to Lt. P. Zinser for recieving the Medal
of Valor (Silver Star) you go Pedro!
Congratulations to JJ. and Naomi Abundez on their 30th wedding
anniversary!
G. Arteaga talked to R. Valdez on bilingual test, Proctor
P. Zinser stated sometime in August.
It is good to hear that officer Dutra is doing good and will
return to work soon.

8. ADJOURNMENT: P. Zinser made a motion to adjourn the meeting
at 7:20 p.m.
J. Reyes seconded the motion. A voice was taken and motion
passed with unanimous consent.
