2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A. Peterson made a motion to approve December minutes T. Soto seconded the motion. A voice was taken and the motion passed with unanimous consent.

3. FINANCE REPORT: Will be reported in February.

4. REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES: Scholarship deadline is February 28, 2008 . Contact A. Peterson or J.Abundez if interested in applications. The Cinco De Mayo Dance Committee is still underway nothing new to report.

5. OLD BUSINESS: R.Perez and J. Reyes went to an orphange in Tijuana and donated hygiene supplies to children with aids. It was reported a very touching experience. Thank you R. Perez and J.Reyes.

6. NEW BUSINESS: The orphange trip is still in the works for a latter date. The bake sale was a huge success, money raised was $1,200. Thank you everyone for your help and donations special thanks to E. Fontan for all your hard work! There was three families from Casa Familiar and two other families for the ( Shop with a Cop Program) which took place at the Walmart in Chula Vista. M. Padilla contacted The Latino Newspaper who published a article on this event and thanked our association CCWA. The burrito sale fund raiser for the Wounded Warriors Center was also a huge success, money raised was $1,300. We would like to give special thanks to Tina Arteaga and her mother Carmen who organized, and with the help of G. Arteaga, the Fernandez Family, P.Zinser, L.Lugo, L. Medina, M.. Rositas. Barbecue for the Wounded Warriors is set for Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. The Magic 92.5 can food and coat drive with Xavier the Xman was great, CCWA donated $330.00.

J. Reyes will inquire on the Los Ninos Program if anyone is interested in participating contact any board member on date and time. The CCWA has now upgraded to the states website , log on to ccwa.net and go into chapter links, click on San Diego Chapter. In the website you will find upcoming events, photos and monthly minutes. ABCW will have a bake sale for the Valentines Dance which will be held on Thursday , February 14 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Cost of tickets are $38.00 which include dinner,roses and dancing.

Good job board members on negotiations for post and bid. Serial numbers on stab proof vest will be checked on TB testing day. 7. ANNOUNCEMENTS: OP Sergeant is now authorized to write parking tickets for those illegally parked, these are official parking citations. You will no longer see the Watch Commander, must be dealt with at the court.

Member M. Padilla has retired, congratulations, enjoy. Member for 19 years and will continue to be an associate member.
