on February 01, 2008, main topic discussed at the meeting was
the purchase of
a building/property, many of the BOD members were not to thrilled
about the idea. San Diego Chapter President A Maldonado addressed
the BOD stating
that
as long as it did not effect our quarterly funds. He shared his
concerns regarding the ABCW purchasing their own building even
though it was denied
at the state level it was still purchased, effecting their quarterly
funds which is now zero! Our state secretary Sylvia Cordero stated
that we have
approximately $100,000 thousand dollars for the purchase of the
property. Several motions were also made to purchase lap tops
for the those chapters
who have under a hundred members, it was put to a vote by the
BOD and did not pass.
