2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

· Minutes for November meeting where not available J. Eustice made the motion to table the minutes for January meeting R. Fernandez second the motion. A vote was taken and approved. November minutes are tabled for January meeting.
3. FINANCE REPORT:

· Treasurer E. Solis gave the finance report. T. Soto made the motion to approve the finance report, L. Medina second the motion. A vote was taken and the finance report was approved.




4. REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES:

· Scholarship committee chair person J. J. Abundez announced that applications are now available contact JJ on Facility I, 2nd Watch. The deadline for applications is February 28, 2009.

· Cinco de Mayo Fundraiser: Burrito sale to be held on Friday, January 9, 2009 at RJD staff entrance. Prep will be at the Maldonado's home on Thursday, January 8, 2009 @4:30 PM. Burritos will be Chile con carne y frijoles & chorizo con huevos y frijoles.

· Tentatively there will be a barbacoa plate sale in February.

5. OLD BUSINESS:

· P. Zinser made a motion to take care of our own for Christmas, E. Solis second the motion. Officers Textiera and Chavez families where discussed, a vote was taken and the motion was approved. We will be going to their homes on Sunday, December 21, 2008.

· During our next Softball Facility Games/Recruitment Picnic, Prizes will be given to the member who recruits the most new members.

6. NEW BUSINESS:

· CCWA State Board Meeting in Ontario TBD.

· Fil-Asian, Pacific Islander Association Christmas Party, will be held Friday, December 19, 2008. Tickets $30.00 Person, $50.00 Couple, 35.00 at the door.

· CCWA San Diego Chapter will donate the Mariachi for Robert J. Hernandez Warden retirement party Saturday, January 17, 2009

7. ANNOUCEMENTS:

· Gang Books available for $40.00 contact Officer J. Eustice

8. ADJOURMENT:

· At 19:35 hrs, A. Maldonado made a motion to adjourn the meeting, J. Eustice second the motion. A vote was taken and the motion was passed.
