1.CALL TO ORDER /ROLL CALL
President A. Maldonado called the meeting to order at 5:45 PM

The months of March And April. G. Arteaga makes a motion to approve the minutes, second by M. Padilla. A vote was taken and the Motion passed.FINANCE REPORT
Eva Solis-abscent. Report given by B. Maldonado.Our balance, minus the restaurants bill and $600 for a 42” Vizio LCD TV that we will be raffled at the Facility Softball game on August 1. A vote was taken and the finance report was approved.

4.REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES
A.Maldonado posted a flyer around the institution for teams to register before June 25. The flyer is just to get an idea of how many teams we will have for the tournament. The teams will bracketed and posted in July’s IST Bulletin, that way the teams will already know what time and field their scheduled for the day of the games. The $100 registration is to help with field rental. Some softball rules were posted on the flyer.
R.Fernandez is in charge of the food and grilling. Volunteers are needed.
Once the teams are registered the softball committee will discuss time and bracketing for the games.

5.OLD BUSINESS
NLPOA (National Latino Peace Officers Association) annual training conference was in Hollywood Ca. Jr, Alex, Bertha,Tina and Raul Perez attended. Good networking. Some of the classes, Drug cartel, Retirement, Stress Management and Gangs. The training was a good experience. Different agencies from all over the country.

6.NEW BUSINESS
CCWA elections coming up (state level). Margie Gandara is retiring. Nomination must be in by August 9.
CCWA Southern Region will be sponsoring training conference in Laughlin NV. The cost is $50 for member, and $65 for non-member. The cost does not include hotel.
A.Maldonado has the registration form if interested in attending. Alex & Jr were asked if they could teach a gang class at the conference.7.ANNOUNCEMENTS
CCPOA Chapter President C Taylor reports that 3 law suits were filed regarding furloughs. Voting for acting delegates will be at the CCPOA meeting on July 13, 2009.No population reduction in MSF noticed or in the Facility 1.

Service credit counts towards seniority.Grievance filed in regards to 998, Correctional Officers must be notified, cannot take money because did not turn in 998. Illegal practices from accounting revocable.LOI’s for delinquent IST range (quarterly) per the Warden (new computer program) 75 for range and 5 chemical agents/baton.
C/O Silva from 1st watch mother passed.C/O J. Jaramillio from BPH has retired. Roy Buenviaje (Phil-Asians President) will have a fundraiser @ Oggis to support a pregnant girl who was shot and killed. Bring pictures for C/O Tex to post on web page.
8.ADJOURNMENT: A. Arteaga made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:00. JJ Abundez seconded the motion. A voice was taken and motion passed with unanimous consent.
