Meeting was called to order @ 1645 hours by President Sylvia Gonzalez.
• Roll was taken and a quorum was established.

• Minutes from May 30, 2008 were read and corrected with the date on last page to show Next meeting Wednesday, June 18, 2008 instead of Thursday, June 18, 2008. Javier Gonzalez made a motion to approve the minutes as corrected. Angela Macias second the motion. Everyone was in favor.

• Anyone interested in running for office needs to turn in the paperwork by the July meeting. All applications need to be turned in to the president so they can be turned in at the Board of Directors meeting before their August meeting.

• Distributed the following flyers:
- Fresno Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce – 1st Annual Health and Fitness Expo – Saturday, July 19, 2008

• Announcement was made for the Women’s Conference and CCWA conference in November. Javier Gonzalez made a motion that each person pay for their own ticket to the Women’s Conference and CCWA pay for two people per room for hotel accommodations. Maggie Saenz second the motion if the monies were available. Everyone agreed.

• Javier Gonzalez made an announcement to speak to Lisa Munoz, CCPOA, Vice President about getting some tickets to the Women’s Conference sponsored by CCPOA, but had to be in bargaining unit 6 to get a ticket. This will depend on how many CCPOA individuals want tickets.

• Corcoran had a spring fest. Angela Macias will talk to them about getting a booth for CCWA next year.

• Maggie Saenz explained about the firework process. We would need to contact Freedom Fireworks for a booth next year. She has a booth in Selma and they made a profit of $8,000. Adjournment - A. Macias made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 1735 hours. J. Gonzalez second the motion. Everyone was in favor of adjourning the meeting.

Next Meeting – Thursday, July 31, 2008 located at
CSP-Corcoran Snack Bar at 1430 hours.
