Meeting was called to order @ 1415 hours by President Sylvia Gonzalez.
• Roll was taken and a quorum was established.

• Minutes from June 18, 2008 were read and corrected with the time of the next meeting to reflect 1415 hours in lieu of 1430 hours. Also, Javier mad a motion to speak to Lisa Munoz, CCPOA in lieu of announcement. Angela Navrozally made a motion to approve the minutes as corrected. Marlene Smith second the motion. Everyone was in favor.

• Distributed the following flyers:

• CCWA 2008 Training Conference on Sunday, November 9th and Monday,
November 10th.

• The Women’s Conference is going to be October 21st and 22nd.

• CCWA members can still buy tickets. We can get tickets the day before the event for 2 – _ hour sessions. If you get tickets, CCWA will probably be able to provide room – double occupancy. Individuals must pay for their own room and put in a request for CCWA to reimburse.

• Sylvia discussed the Corcoran Family Fun Day on September 6th. This event will include Mush ball/softball tournament, Bounce houses for kids, dunk tank, barbeque, raffle, sack races, and hula hoop competition. All vendor booths will be $100.00. CCWA can participate by having a booth and also a recruitment table. Marlene Smith made a motion to have a vendor booth for $100.00. Angie Macias made a motion to have a vendor booth and also sell cotton candy and cookies. Angela Navrozally second the motion. Everyone agreed.

• Sylvia stated she is gong to the Board of Directors Meeting this Saturday in Ontario. Will share information at our next meeting.

Adjournment
A. Macias made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 1445 hours. M. Smith second the motion. Everyone was in favor of adjourning the meeting.

Next Meeting – Thursday, August 21, 2008 located at
CSP-Corcoran Snack Bar at 1415 hours.
