Meeting – DECEMBER 30, 2008

Meeting was called to order at 1430 hours by President Sylvia A. Gonzalez
Roll was taken and a quorum was established
Minutes were not read due to secretary being off on Maternity Leave
Sylvia announced that one of our members Greg Madrigal passed away on December 11, 2008. A check was mailed to his wife Rachel Madrigal for $200.00 with approval of a quorum.

Discussions: Sylvia mentioned that while she was at the conference she discovered the state treasurer had not paid the CSP/Corcoran chapter their allotted money due for canvassing new members. Sylvia mentioned at the time of discovery she informed Margaret Gandera, the State President and Sylvia Cordero, the State Treasure. Miss Cordero informed her she had not received the information from Andy Munoz, State Membership Coordinator, and could not pay us until then. Therefore we have not gotten paid correctly since February 2008. Debbie Chinchock made a motion not to give out donations until our Chapter account has been audited and corrected. Irma Decker seconded it. Everyone was in agreement.

Sylvia announced that newly elected Vice President Humberto Haro has removed himself from CSP-Corcoran’s Chapter due to his lateral transfer to Kern Valley State Prison. Javier Gonzalez has announced that if no one is interested he would like to be Vice President. Angie Macias has requested that if Javier gets appointed to Vice President then she would like to run for Treasurer if no one else is interested.

Marlene Smith announced that CSP/Corcoran is having their 21st Annual Crab Feed on March 21, 2009 at the Hanford Civic Center. Tickets are $25.00 per person and the theme this year is Jeans and Jerseys.Adjournment:

President Sylvia adjourned the meeting at 1500 hrs∑ Next Meeting scheduled for Thursday, January 22, 2009, 1415 hours, in the CSP-Corcoran Snack Bar.
