Meeting was called to order at 3:10 p.m. by Maria Holdren, President

Roll was taken (See sign in sheet) and a quorum was/was not established.

Minutes from April 2009 meeting were read and approved/approved with amendments.

Treasurer’s report was not given by Lisa Holquin. All receipts and expenses approved and presented by M. Holdren.Old Business:

a. Softball Tournament is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2009. Cathy Lowes, ASP Electrician will come up with all the staff.

b. Joe Hinojosa attended the BOD in place of Maria Holdren that was held last week.

c. Officer D’Artney want us to help sponsor girl’s soft ball team in Lemoore and it was requested he speak to the board on this matter. D’Artney failed to attend the meeting and we were unable to discuss this matter.

New Business:
a. Profit on the Summer Raffle/Fundraiser was approximately $2000.00. A portion on the funds will be utilized to pay for the remainder of the travel claims for NLPOA expenses. $1500 will be deposited into the savings account for the Scholarship Fund.

b. Patty Reed - CCWA Member had mentioned to Maria Holdren that she knows a couple of girls from the Lemoore softball travel team that need help with expenses. She will notify us with the expenses. They will appreciate any donation. Patty will turn in a request to Helen Sanchez to bring to the next meeting so we can vote on it.

c. Bertha Perez, Vice President, will make inquiries on prices for the Las Vegas trip. Follow-up information will be presented at the next meeting for discussion.

d. CCWA has set the date for their next training in Laughlin, Nevada. Date for the training will be the weekend of October 9, 2009. It is a one day training on October 10, 2009. Discussion at next meeting on how many non-board members we want to fund and what we will fund. If several people would like to go, we may have to put four to a room.
