Meeting was called to order at 1:30 p.m. by Maria Holdren, President

Roll was taken (See sign in sheet) and a quorum was/was not established.

Minutes from April 2009 meeting were read and approved/approved with amendments.
Treasurer’s report was not given. All receipts and expenses approved and presented.

Old Business:

a. Softball Tournament was discussed with Cathy Lowes, ASP Electrician yesterday, June 16, 2009. She will speak with field coordinator today about using the Hanford Field. Lemoore field is under construction with CalTrans and may no longer be available after overpass is completed..

b. It was voted and passed to sponsor the Girls Softball Team. Patty Reed will turn in a form with information on the traveling team. It was voted and passed to pay for half of the sponsorship upfront for a total of $600. Once the CCWA Softball Tournament is scheduled, part of the proceeds will be utilized to pay for the remainder $600.

c. Bertha Perez, Vice President, will follow-up with source for information on the Las Vegas trip. Tentative date will be November 9, 10, and return on the 11, 2009. Updated information will be provided in the next CCWA Newsletter. Once a decision has been made, cost will be available to all those who are interested.

The CCWA training will be held October 10, 2009, in Laughlin, Nevada. Persons who have shown an interest are Mike Torres, Cecelia Lucero, Gloria Saldivar, Stephanie Ordonez, and Tony Villamontes. All board and non-board members selected will be required to pay for their own fees and once they have arrived, will submit a travel claim for reimbursement. It was decided to table how many cars will be utilized for transportation and it was decided to pay for actual gas via gas receipts which will be required to be on the travel claims.

New Business:
a. Next BOD will be August 8, 2009.

CCWA Meeting – May 2009
d. CCWA has set the date for their next training in Laughlin, Nevada. Date for the training will be the weekend of October 9, 2009. It is a one day training on October 10, 2009. Discussion at next meeting on how many non-board members we want to fund and what we will fund. If several people would like to go, we may have to put four to a room.
