Location Avenal State Prison
1. Meeting was called to order at 18:10 hrs by President Maria Holdren.

2. Roll was taken (See sign in sheet) and a quorum was established.

3. Minutes from the November 12, 2008 meeting were read and approved.

4. There was no Treasurers report at this time.

5. Old Business:a. We will have 2-$200.00 Scholarships for two Farm Workers families, which will be available this Spring 2009 and 2-$200.00 Scholarships for two students of Avenal Chapter members, which will be available in Fall of 2009. West Hills College has been contacted to furnish us with names for the farm worker scholarships.
b. Ticket sale: A total of 400 tickets were sold and we made a profit of $1500.00 profit. The drawing for the tickets was on Friday, November 14, 2008. The winner of the 49ers tickets was John Jacquez, CO and the Raider tickets was Rueben Sandoval, CO.
c. Adopt a family: We adopted a family of four kids, who have no parents and is raised by the grandmother. A total of $330.49 was spent on the family on gifts and food voucher.
d. Fundraiser: We are not going to pursue with the tamale sale at this time.

6. New Business:
a. Other fundraiser were discussed. No final decisions were made.
b. We need to submit a memo for the IST Bulletin to thank all those who help support us in buying and selling tickets in November.

7. Announcements: No new announcements at this time.

Tentatively a meeting will be scheduled in February and no site has been named at this time.
